Additional Event Information

The dinner conversation will center around how a woman can best fuel her body and soul to reach all her goals, including weight loss. It involves a weekly regimen called Eat, Fast, Feast, along with Catholic Coaching grounded in the Sacraments. It’s the trifecta!

The conversation with Jay Richards will include the solution for those tired of diets.

Erin Ingold and Lisa Canning will address how to stop the diet mentality and all the other negative thoughts women struggle with regarding health and weight loss. The solution is provided in the Church and includes metanoia – renewing of the mind as St. Paul wrote in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Sr. Dede Byrne will explore the real desire of people’s hearts and how that’s the real solution. The real desire of people’s hearts is the Eucharist, even if they don’t know it yet.

Many women start Catholic fasting hoping to lose weight, but their focus quickly changes as they

  • grow closer to God,

  • become healthier in mind, body and soul,

  • learn how their sacrifices and sufferings can be offered up to help their loved ones, and

  • join a community of other women like themselves, all with shared prayers of family members returning to the Church, family relationships healed, and more.

St. Michael’s Lent was created by St. Francis of Asissi, and it begins on the Solemnity of the Assumption, August 15, and ends on the Feast of St. Michael, Sep 29. It’s similar to Lent in that it excludes Sundays, but the fasting is not as rigurous. For further information, please read here.
