Turn off the Sugar & Turn on the Christmas Miracles Part 2
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
– 1 Corinthians 10:31
The Christmas season can disrupt even the strongest routines, and for many women, the swirl of events, sugar, and chaos can feel like a tug-of-war between celebration and self-control. When the calendar fills and treats multiply, it’s easy to lose your footing and slip into old habits. Yet this season—filled with holy interruptions—is actually one of the best times to root yourself in a steady spiritual and physical rhythm. Advent is meant to anchor your heart to Christ, not push you into chaos.
In this episode, I bring you into my real Advent life—messy, busy, grace-filled—and show you how I stay metabolically flexible with God through it all. Instead of resisting the natural ebb and flow of December, I work with it, embracing a rhythm of eat–fast–feast rooted in prayer, sacraments, and intentional planning. Spiritual fasting is not about perfection; it’s about presence. And when your mind and body move in harmony with grace, the season becomes lighter, clearer, and far more beautiful.
We walk through my actual Advent practices—from my minimum prayer baseline, to my Christmas food protocol, to temperance at the table, hydration and movement, and managing my mind with the Thought Model. You’ll hear the five ways I stay spiritually steady and physically strong when life gets loud. This episode is a real-world guide to keeping Christ at the center while navigating the bustle with freedom and joy.
