Never Too Busy with Teresa Donnett
“Do not be conformed to this world. But be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
– Romans 12:2
This week on the podcast, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Teresa Donnett — a South Dakota native, longtime nurse, wife, mother of ten, grandmother, and woman of deep Catholic faith. Teresa met her husband at the Minnesota State Fair in 1996, and after 27 years of marriage, she’s built a beautiful life centered on family, faith, and service.
She’s spent more than 25 years as an oncology and dialysis nurse while also helping found Holy Spirit Academy in Monticello, leading Bible studies, and serving her parish community. Her energy and joy flow from a life grounded in prayer, the sacraments, and trust in God’s providence.
But what truly makes Teresa’s story so powerful is her recent transformation through spiritual fasting with Delay and Pray. Since January, she’s lost over 70 pounds — but even more importantly, she’s gained peace, patience, and a deeper love for her family. Teresa shares how fasting helped her slow down, enjoy life’s simple pleasures, and find freedom in her relationship with food and with God.Her witness reminds us that holiness isn’t about perfection — it’s about perseverance, love, and trust. You’ll walk away from this episode inspired to embrace your own journey of faith and discover that you are never too busy for God’s grace.
