The Backpack of Resilience
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.“
– Matt 19:26
The Delay and Pray journey continues throughout the Holidays by setting Impossible goals with the help of the Holy Spirit to permanently lose weight and to achieve spiritual breakthroughs for others – even through the months of November and December.
Instead of getting nervous and fearful of failure, we get to embark on a big audacious adventure to reach the summit of our dreams in any season with lots of mindset work.
I like to imagine putting on a backpack of resilience with all the tools of Delay and Pray inside.
God gave us a powerful imagination that is always available especially in the most dire times or just on those afternoons when our schedule goes awry and we drop into cravings which are actually just thoughts and emotions leading us into short term discomfort so we crave something to eat to numb out that discomfort.
I always say overeating = underfeeling. It’s just an emotion caused by a thought that gives a craving.
Your Impossible goals are possible, and you must work for them but you also have to BELIEVE in them!
You have to practice believing that the goal is reachable with the help of God.
That’s it – just believe! You have to believe harder than you strive and be willing to try and fail more than you succeed.
Set ‘impossible goals’ with divine assistance, to achieve lasting weight loss and spiritual breakthroughs, even through the holiday season.
When you think about your future, you must believe in it and the thought must feel good for you to work for it. That is why you practice, practice, practice! You must love it – want it, more than anything. And, do it for Jesus.
Let’s embark on this journey of Delay & Pray, reaching for personal and spiritual growth amid life’s chaos.
