May 18, 2023

My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

In today’s episode, Beth is interviewing Pam Stanford, a mom of eight and grandma of six, who also serves as a board member and in leader formation for Red Bird Ministries, and actively participates in the Cursillo Movement. Join Beth and Pam as they discuss the journey of faith, and how the lows can be intense moments of encounter with the merciful love of God.

First, Pam describes her personal struggles with food as a diabetic, and how her search for health ultimately led her to Beth’s Delay and Pray Program. Beth and Pam discuss everything from re-evaluating treats on the holidays, to the grace needed to stick with food protocols during the second-half of the day. They emphasize the importance of community on this path to holiness: your guardian angel alone is proof that you were never meant to take this journey by yourself.

Finally, they discuss the miscarriage experiences of Pam and her daughter, and how fasting and a vibrant sacramental life can help child loss become an opportunity to be transformed by God’s grace and mercy. They particularly dwell on the imagery of the woman at the well, reminding their listeners that God can take anything you give Him and transform it so beautifully that you’ll want to tell everyone.
